Produced on a limited scale in China and Sri Lanka. The new buds are plucked before they open, then withered to allow moisture to evaporate. The buds are then dried. The curled up buds are fuzzy and have a silver appearance. They are sometimes referred to as Sliver Tip. When brewed, white teas produce a very pale, straw-colored liquor, light in flavor with a subtle sweetness. Its caffeine content is the lowest of all teas.
